Copper Nickel Screws are based on 90/10 or 70/30 Cu-Ni alloys. They consist of a maximum of 30% nickel and minor iron/manganese that impart excellent strength and corrosion resistance. Tensile strength is between 350 and 500 MPa based on alloy quality and treatment. They are resistant to corrosion by seawater, pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and hydrogen embrittlement. They also possess high thermal stability and are useful in applications where long exposure to heat and salinity are needed.
