SS 316H Fasteners have a composition of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, 2–3% molybdenum, and increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%). This alloy enhances strength and creep life at elevated temperatures. These fasteners have tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, yield strength of ~205 MPa, and elongation of ~40%. They are resistant to corrosion, particularly in chloride environments and under acidic conditions, and have superb structural integrity against heat stress. Suitable for high-temperature usage, SS 316H preserves its mechanical properties where lower grades of carbon can degrade.
